The Study of the History of Medicine at UCLA

The Study of the History of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, is an interdisciplinary program which encompasses the activities of a variety of faculty and staff drawn together from the general and medical departments of the campus. While our brochure, Medical History at UCLA, 1950-1995, describes the “public” face of medical history activites, programs, collections and resources, during that time period, this Web site presents an overview of the historical activities of the program as well as current and ongoing endeavors. We invite you to join us in our efforts to increase our understanding of medicine’s past as it relates to the key roles medicine plays in our contemporary culture.
