Frequently Asked QuestionsHow can I get the full text of an article?If you already have the citation for the article, check the UCLA Library Catalog for the journal. Type in the name of the journal, and select Start of Journal Title, then click the Search button. If the library owns the journal, check to see that the year, volume and issue you need is listed. Click on the Online Access link if available or go to that library to find the journal, and photocopy the pages needed. If UCLA does not own the journal you may wish to request the article. If you find the article citation in an online database, check for a UC-eLinks button.
Click on it to see if there is a link to the full text online. If there is not full text online, click "See if a UC campus has this". Select the Details/Locations on MELVYL to see if UCLA has the item. If the library owns the journal, check to see that the year, volume and issue you need is listed. Go to that library to find the journal, and photocopy the pages needed. If UCLA does not have the journal, click on "For Interlibrary Loan or Document Delivery use Request". |
