Frequently Asked Questions

Can I access online databases and resources when I'm not on campus?

Current UCLA students, faculty, and staff can access UCLA Library-licensed electronic resources, including online journals and article databases, from off campus. To access the campus network through UCLA's Bruin Online proxy or Virtual Private Network (VPN) servers or Bruin OnLine dial-up, users need a valid UCLA Logon ID and password.

Note: Wireless access to the campus network from laptops may require installation of a VPN client.

Members of the general public, including UCLA alumni, can use licensed electronic resources at the public computers in the libraries.
