Policies and Procedures for Thesis and Dissertation Preparation and Filing
This document, available online in PDF format from the UCLA Graduate Division Web site, is the official UCLA manuscript preparation guide and contains criteria for uniformity in the physical format of theses and dissertations. The regulations in it supersede any style manual instructions regarding format. Information on filing procedures, microfilming, and registration of copyright is also included.

Thesis and Dissertation Meetings
The advisor conducts orientation sessions for candidates for higher degrees at the beginning of each quarter except summer. The schedule of upcoming sessions is available on the Graduate Division Web site and at all library public services desks.
