Henry Lim Performs Dylan

Friday, January 16
Evening Concert - 8 p.m.

Henry Lim (b. 1972) inhabits a variety of guises, from the mild-mannered technical services assistant at the UCLA Music Library to the world-renowned artist of life-size sculptures and life-like portraits assembled from LEGO bricks, with articles written about him in the Los Angeles Times, Maxim and Keyboard Magazine. His photographs are prominently featured on the UCLA Library web pages. He has composed three piano sonatas, a dozen film scores, half a dozen musicals, and over a hundred pop songs. Lately he has been intrigued by the works of Bob Dylan (b. 1941)--the poetic lyrics, lyrical poetry, and the almost insane range of crazy characters conjured by the legendary artist. Lim will perform classic Dylan songs accompanied on acoustic guitar and harmonica.
