IIMP: International Index to Music Periodicals
Indexes scholarly journals as well as music magazines--includes links to many (but not all) online articles. IIMP and Music Index are resources for popular music, jazz, and non-scholarly music resources.

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
Indexes scholarly music journals, as well as essay collections, music articles in non-music journals, and non-English resources.

RIPM Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals
RIPM provides access to eighteenth-, nineteenth- and twentieth-century periodical literature dealing with music.

IIPA: International Index to the Performing Arts
IIPA indexes performing arts magazines and journals, broader in scope than IIMP above, with less emphasis on music and more on dance, theatre, film, etc.

JSTOR: The Scholarly Journal Archive
JSTOR provides access to several, but not all, important music journals. The most recent 5 to 7 years of any title will not be in JSTOR; JSTOR is for access to back issues only. The link above allows you to browse the music journals available in JSTOR.
