Community projects include:
- The City of Inglewood Oral History Project : Established in 1997 to help the people of Inglewood rediscover their past through the ongoing collection, publication, and dissemination of oral histories.
- The Dr. Ralph J. Bunche Peace and Heritage Center Oral History Project : Currently in the first phase of a long-term process of training youth to be community-based oral historians who collect oral histories about the Central Avenue community and the Dunbar Hotel in South Los Angeles; a collaboration with the Dunbar Economic Development Corporation
