UCLA Library Participates in National Service Quality SurveyDuring Spring Quarter 2007 the UCLA Library will again participate in LibQUAL+, a national project to measure service quality in libraries. This project will enable the Library to identify areas in which users feel that services need improvement to better meet their research and instructional objectives. Along with UCLA students and staff, a random sample of UCLA faculty will be asked to participate in this project. The survey itself consists of thirty-three questions and should take less than fifteen minutes to complete. Because it is Web based, it can be completed at the time and place of the respondent's choosing. The results will then be analyzed and a report issued that identifies areas for improvement. A preliminary report should be available in Fall 2007, and the complete report will be finished later in the 2007-08 academic year. UCLA first participated in LibQUAL+, co-sponsored by the Association of Research Libraries and Texas A&M University, in Spring 2003 and repeated it in 2005. The Library is conducting the survey again this year to measure progress against these previous assessments. For more information, visit the Library's LibQUAL+ Web site or send an email to the project managers. |
