Reserve and Recall Fine Rates Increase

Chancellor Albert Carnesale has approved an increase in fine rates for overdue reserve and recalled items, beginning January 6, 2005.

Fines for overdue short-term (loaned for two hours or overnight) reserve material will be $5 for every hour the library is open, up to a maximum of $50 per item. Fines for overdue long-term (loaned for one to seven days) reserve material will be $5 per day for every day the library is open, up to a maximum of $50 per item.

Fines for items that have been recalled by another user but were not returned by the new due date will be $5 per day for every day the library is open, up to a maximum of $50 per item.
