CCLE Copyright and Licensing Librarian
Martin J. Brennan has joined the UCLA Library as the copyright and licensing librarian for the UCLA Common Collaborative and Learning Environment (CCLE). In this temporary, three-year position he will advise on intellectual property issues and coordinate related services and activities to support broad educational use of content and collections for instruction through the CCLE.

Brennan comes to UCLA from the New York University School of Medicine, where he was librarian for medical education and curriculum development; prior to that, he held similar positions at the University of Rochester and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has a BA in liberal arts and sciences/English literature and an MLIS, both from the Univerúsity of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.

New Subject Assignments
Subject librarians offer a variety of services to help faculty, students, and staff access information resources and use them effectively. They offer classroom instruction customized to meet the needs of teaching faculty and are also responsible for developing library collections. In addition, they provide individualized research assistance on everything from designing overall search strategies to identifying useful resources and locating specific facts.
