The Library thanked its generous donors and celebrated recent notable acquisitions at its annual champagne reception at the Charles E. Young Research Library in June 2007. At the event Strong honored Lee Walcott Jr., vice president and managing director of the Ahmanson Foundation, by awarding him first UCLA Library Medal of Honor.
